Vendor Screening
In today’s fast-paced business environment, accurately screening potential vendors is often of overlooked importance. Yet, hiring a company to provide goods and services without first verifying its performance record and financial standing can result in fraud, shoddy work, and lost time and money.
Kroll helps companies, government agencies and individuals determine the abilities and integrity of potential and existing vendors. Through Kroll’s Vendor Integrity Program, clients learn whether vendors have criminal records, financial troubles, or business relationships that could create costly conflicts or be deeply embarrassing.
What We Do
Kroll’s Vendor Integrity Program is designed to hold vendors to ethical standards set by your company and to prevent problems that could have a negative impact on your company’s revenues and reputation. You also won’t face administrative, screening, or database maintenance problems, because the verification process is handled entirely by Kroll. Because Kroll gathers information using a secure Web site and provides reports online, your costs are lower and project turnarounds are faster.
How It Works
Kroll’s specialists first meet with you to fully understand your business needs and establish your individual set of standards. Then all current and future vendors undergo our rigorous screening process to ensure that they meet those standards. To get or keep your business, all potential and existing vendors pay a screening fee, which depends on the intensity of the report you desire. Vendors must also sign a business practices statement that outlines your standards of conduct and ethical practices.
Vendors then complete a detailed online questionnaire that’s electronically submitted to Kroll. Vendors unsure of requested information or how to navigate the site can call a special Kroll hotline for assistance.
Next, Kroll’s staff screens the information provided by vendors and collect additional intelligence.
When the information is complete, you receive a final report that both verifies the accuracy of submitted information as well as supplies new information on the vendor about which you may not have known. Kroll also assesses the risk of hiring the vendor using an easy-to-understand rating system.
What We Screen
