Alexandre Pierantoni, a São Paulo-based managing director of Duff & Phelps’ M&A practice, was recently featured in the Wall Street Journal’s PE Daily. The article covers a new bill that would affect private-equity investments in the health-care industry and other key news in the PE industry.
Among major developments, the anticipated Brazilian real volume of initial public offerings and secondary offerings this year is likely to be around $200 billion, according to projections by Duff & Phelps. The estimate is roughly double 2019 volume.
Alexandre shares, “Infrastructure-focused private-equity funds investing in Brazil could find many opportunities in the 44 concession auctions planned by the government this year for assets that include airports, highways, ports and railroads.“
