Dan Linskey, Managing Director with Kroll’s Investigations and Disputes practice and Head of the firm’s Boston office, was interviewed by WRKO-AM Boston on the shooting death of an Auburn, Mass., police officer during a routine traffic stop and the wounding of another officer during the apprehension of the suspect, who according to reports had an extensive criminal history. Dan, who was formerly Superintendent-in-Chief of the Boston Police Department and a 27-year veteran of the force, weighed in on a range of topics, including the “holes in the system” surrounding repeat violent offenders; positive changes that can come out of this tragedy; and when it comes to protecting officers, the value of up-to-date training, appropriate staffing levels, and strong community support.
