Nicole Y. Lamb-Hale, Managing Director in Kroll’s Business Intelligence and Investigations practice and Duff & Phelps Institute fellow, shares her views on U.S.-China trade tensions and the potential impact of the U.S. President’s use of tariffs as a lever in trade negotiations and border security with Mexico on FOX Business.
Commenting on the trade impasse and the U.S. markets, Nicole said: “One of the concerns we hear from clients is that long-term business planning is very difficult for U.S. companies. I continue to be concerned about the President’s alternate use of national security as a lever in trade negotiations, and in this case with Mexico, tariffs as a lever in border security issues.”
“We really need to be careful because manufacturing companies, in particular, trade their parts at various levels of completion across the U.S.-Mexico border several times a day. Tariffs hitting those imports will be terrible for U.S. manufacturing companies who rely on those supply chains,” she added.
