With an unprecedented number of people working from home, phishers, scammers and malware purveyors have access to a target-rich environment and prey on human vulnerabilities and human errors. They are using the fear brought about by the pandemic to scare individuals and businesses into clicking on email scams and to make them victims to other cyberattacks.
In the latest episode of the Post and Insurance Age’s video series, Andrew Beckett, Managing Director and EMEA Leader in the Cyber Risk practice of Kroll, a division of Duff & Phelps, joins cyber experts as they discuss how hackers and scammers are using COVID-19 to prey on people’s thirst for knowledge and information and share best practices to mitigate the risk. Andrew further highlights that businesses need to be extra vigilant in protecting their systems and networks from criminal activity.
