Since the news about IndiGo’s crisis broke out, the spotlight has been on India’s largest airline and the dispute between the co-founders. Rakesh Gangwal has accused partner Rahul Bhatia, of violation of corporate governance rules and has filed a complaint with the Securities and Exchange Board of India.
Industry experts have come forth to discuss the accusations and have warned that the ongoing battle between the co-founders will hamper the airline’s expansion plans.
Kroll, a division of Duff & Phelps, has been actively quoted in the media recommending quick resolution between the co-founders. Failure to do so will drag the airline into a procedural loop, damaging IndiGo’s brand value and shaking investors’ confidence.
