While Europe remains a favorite destination for vacationers worldwide, terrorist activities and attacks in some of the continent's most popular cities are giving many people pause as they contemplate their travel plans this year. Tim Horner, Managing Director and leader of Kroll's Security Risk Management practice, advises on safety considerations in a recent New York Times article, "Where to Go in Europe, and How to Stay Safe," by Shivani Vora.
"There isn’t a particular country that travelers should avoid, but overall, there is an elevated threat related to terrorism,” he told the Times. “The intelligence from several sources indicates warnings, more than in previous years, about the possibility of terrorist attacks throughout Europe.”
