Carine leverages over 30 years of experience specializing in corporate finance advisory relating to independent valuation subjects within the framework of strategic projects, including M&A, reorganization, financial restructuring, stock market transactions and commercial litigation. She issues qualified expert opinions or fairness opinions intended for boards of directors, financial and tax departments, as well as for majority or minority shareholders.
Carine’s expertise covers valuation of businesses, intangible assets (brands and patents), management packages, complex financial instruments and damages. Regarding the assessments carried out in application of international accounting standards, she has a solid experience in purchase price allocations and impairment tests.
Prior to joining Kroll, Carine was a partner at Deloitte Finance in Paris within the Valuation and Financial Modelling practice. Before that, she held a director position within a financial communications agency and advised executives of listed companies during their IPOs. She began her career at Banque Indosuez (Brussels, Tokyo and Paris) as an equity trader, then occupied various positions. She continued as a director of the Corporate Finance and M&A department, where she acquired strong expertise in stock exchange transactions, including IPOs, public takeover bids and public exchange offers.
Carine has a master’s degree in economics from the University of Namur. She is a graduate from the Belgium Association of Financial Analysts. Carine is a member of the SFEV (French association of appraisers), APDC (French association of accounting experts) and France Invest (French association of private equity firms). She is also member of the executive board of the APEI (French professional association of independent appraisers).
