Before joining Kroll, Deo worked as a Structured Credit Analyst at Dynamic Credit Partners, LLC—a structured finance investment advisory firm that managed 10 CDO vehicles, its credit opportunities fund and managed accounts. He joined Dynamic Credit Partners in 2006 and was responsible for structured product modeling and investment analysis as well as advisory and consulting efforts related to the valuation of structured products.
Deo has also worked at PPM America and Fitch Ratings, focusing on ABS and CDOs. As a structured finance credit analyst at PPM America, he was responsible for underwriting private and public ABS. He recommended primary and secondary purchases for buy-and-hold and total return portfolios totaling USD 4 billion. At Fitch Ratings, he modeled and analyzed cash flow CDOs as part of the rating process.
Deo began his career as a structural engineer at Pratt & Whitney, designing and developing commercial aircraft engines. He holds a B.S. in aerospace engineering and an M.S. in mechanical engineering from Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York. He earned an MBA in finance from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
