Senior Vice President

Eric Wedin is Senior Vice President in the Cyber Risk business, based in Secaucus, New Jersey.

Eric leverages more than ten years of digital forensics and incident response experience in complex cybersecurity investigations, including incident response involving email compromise and wire transfer fraud, corporate espionage, insider threats, ransomware and data exfiltration. He has provided over 1,000 hours of testimony at depositions, hearings and courtroom trials. Eric is a peer coach for the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists.

Prior to joining Kroll, Eric served as Senior Consultant, Digital Forensics and Incident Response at the security company Pondurance. Before that, he held the role of Special Deputy U.S. Marshal – Cyber/Fraud Task Force & Network Intrusion at the United States Secret Service. Eric has also held roles at the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office and Punta Gorda Police Department.

Eric holds the following professional certifications, among others: Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC), GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA), SysAdmin, Audit, Network and Security (SANS), Advanced Incident Response, Threat Hunting and Digital Forensics (FOR 508), International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS), Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE), National Computer Forensic Institute (NCFI), Network Intrusion Response program (NITRO), Memory Forensics and Malware Analysis (MFMA), Incident Response Analysis (IRA) and Macintosh Forensic Training (MFT).
