Evan has extensive experience in the valuation of all types of real estate assets, as well as market research and strategic advice. He has managed clients and valuation processes for some of the largest real estate investors in Spain, including some of the largest Sociedades Anónimas Cotizadas de Inversión Inmobiliaria (“SOCIMI”s). He has experience in valuations for all the principal valuation purposes, including acquisition, financing, M&A, accounting, and Non-Performing Loan (“NPL”) and Real Estate Owned (“REO”) transactions.
Prior to joining Kroll, Evan served as JLL Head of RICS Valuations in Spain for more than 10 years, where he led a large Valuation team. Over his time at JLL, he participated in the development of the SOCIMI business, NPL/REO analysis and Automated Valuation Model (“AVM”) services, amongst other initiatives. Evan began his career in real estate consultancy with Cushman & Wakefield in Madrid as a member of their Valuation team, where he reached the level of associate. During this time, he gained experience in most asset types with a particular emphasis on shopping centers.
Before arriving in Spain, Evan worked in corporate finance for E*TRADE Financial, providing advice in relation to private equity capital raises, IPOs and company acquisition opportunities.
Evan holds a bachelor's degree in business and legal studies from University College Dublin, Ireland. In the U.S., he gained Securities and Exchange Commission Series 7 and Series 63 qualifications. In the UK, he obtained the FSA Register Representative qualification. He has been a professional member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors since 2008, and he is also a member of the RICS Spain Regional Advisory Board.
