Jacob Newman

Jacob Newman is a Vice President in the M&A Advisory practice, based in Toronto. He holds over six years of investment banking experience and specializes in sell-side, buy-side and financing mandates.

At Kroll, Jacob works with private-equity-sponsored and family-owned businesses across diverse industries including food and beverage, consumer products and retail, distribution, industrials, agriculture and healthcare. He has successfully executed several transactions, amounting to over CA$1billion in aggregate enterprise value.

Prior to joining Kroll, Jacob was with Deloitte Corporate Finance, the middle market investment banking division of Deloitte Canada, where he advised Canadian private owner-operated businesses on M&A and capital raising transactions. Jacob also had two placements with UBS, a global Swiss Bank. He worked in the private banking division providing wealth management services to ultra-high net worth individuals and families across Canada.

Jacob holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) in finance and economics from Ryerson University. He is a FINRA-registered representative, holding the FINRA Series 79 license.
