Jake Floyd is a director in the Portfolio Valuation group, based in Morristown. He leverages more than 10 years of valuation experience in financial reporting and tax valuations for public and private entities.

Jake specializes in advising a wide range of alternative asset managers, including hedge funds, private equity firms and business development companies on valuing their positions in loans, subordinated and mezzanine debt, convertible debt, distressed debt and common and preferred equity. Jake also has extensive experience in executing valuations of businesses and their underlying securities and intangible assets for tax, financial reporting and strategic planning purposes.

Prior to joining Kroll, Jake served as a valuation manager at Ernst & Young, LLP, where he was responsible for valuing entities and intangible assets across a broad range of industries with a focus on private equity investments and energy. Before that, he was an analyst at American Appraisal, where he focused on financial reporting and tax valuations for publicly traded and privately-held businesses.

Jake received a B.A. in finance from Muhlenberg College and holds an MBA in international business practice from St. Mary’s University, London.
