Jim has more than 20 years of experience in the administration of some of the highest-profile class action settlements in the U.S. He consults with attorneys and companies to develop for successful administration of a wide range of matters including market actions, consumer products, sales practices, insurance claims, securities, antitrust, environmental, employment, TCPA, and data breaches. Additionally, Jim’s expertise includes oversight of the processes and procedures for identifying potential fraud, waste and abuse in filed claims.
Jim has managed the successful administration of some of the nation’s largest class action settlements. He has delivered CLE presentations at numerous law firms and industry events, including The Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel. Jim has also provided expert testimony before both state and federal courts regarding the administration processes and procedures used in the administration of court-approved class action settlements. Additionally, courts have admitted his expert affidavits for a wide range of class actions and consumer matters, including product liability, insurance, consumer products and TCPA cases.
Prior to working in the class action industry, Jim designed and maintained telecommunications networks and developed several software systems for a financial services organization.
Jim holds a bachelor’s degree in information systems and quantitative analysis from Portland State University and an MBA from the University of Oregon.
