As an accredited Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) expert witness, she is regularly appointed as a quantum expert on large, complex international construction and engineering projects.
Prior to joining Kroll, Joanne was a partner at Blackrock Expert Services, which was acquired by Kroll in 2020.
Joanne has considerable testifying experience in court and tribunal hearings and has given evidence in the Technology and Construction Court in London and in nine International Chamber of Commerce (ICC)and Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) arbitration hearings, both in the UK and internationally.
She has worked on a wide range of UK and international projects across many industries, including airports, civil infrastructure, high-rise towers, mixed-use developments and railways. In addition to having deep expertise in the analysis and quantification of construction claims, Joanne is also an expert in the professional standards expected of a quantity surveyor and is regularly appointed in professional negligence cases.
Joanne holds a B.S. (Honors) degree in quantity surveying, a M.S. in business administration and postgraduate diplomas in law and arbitration. She is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and sits as a RICS assessment of professional competence assessor.
