Johnson has spent considerable time in Beijing working with the liquidators of a Chinese medical company, including the extensive investigation of the affairs of its PRC subsidiaries and establishing the whereabouts and use of $670 million raised in the U.S. securities market. His work also includes reassessing valuation and financial models prepared by the company’s auditor and financial advisor, assessing the audit work papers and providing litigation support in legal proceedings in Hong Kong.
Johnson has also spent time in Singapore assisting on the restructuring of a shipping company and monitoring day-to-day operations of the company, including the implementation of cash and working capital controls.
Johnson previously spent two years in the Audit and Assurance department of a Big Four firm, where he was involved in annual audits (with substantial acquisition and disposal) and IPO audits for companies listed in Hong Kong, across industries, including retail, manufacturing, leasing, advertising, education, luxury and leisure.
Johnson holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance (First Class) from The University of Sheffield. He is a member of the Restructuring and Insolvency Faculty of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Johnson speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
