Prior to joining Kroll, Matt spent 18 years at CBRE. His valuation expertise spans a wide variety of asset classes, including office, industrial, retail and shopping center properties. He also has extensive experience in the valuation of multifamily residential properties, including traditional apartment properties, historic property adaptive reuse projects, mixed-use developments, redevelopments and phased construction projects, as well as subsidized and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) properties. Matt has served a diverse client base for lending, financial and tax reporting, estate planning and medical STARK Law compliance purposes. Additionally, he is well versed in litigation support and consulting and has been qualified as an expert witness in multiple courts.
Prior to starting his career in real estate, he served four years in the United States Navy.
Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in finance from Virginia Tech. In addition to holding the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute, he is a Certified General Appraiser in the District of Columbia, Virginia and Maryland.
