Matt has expertise in dealing with formal insolvency and restructuring assignments including administrations, company voluntary agreements and liquidations. Matt assists with the provision of restructuring, refinancing and contingency planning solutions to directors as well as other company stakeholders, including their lenders. He has worked for a wide range of clients/lenders including banks, asset-based lenders and private equity funders. Matt also has experience in cash management and financial due diligence.
Prior to moving to Manchester in 2007, Matt spent 7 years in Kroll’s London office after spending 5 years qualifying as a chartered accountant in an audit and accountancy practice. In 2010, Matt completed a secondment to GE Commercial Finance where he gained valuable experience managing a small portfolio of clients in the asset-based lending market and provided his expertise to the wider portfolio management team.
During his career, Matt has worked on several high-profile assignments across a wide range of sectors, including manufacturing, construction, pharmaceutical and the leisure and hospitality sectors.
Matt received a Bachelor of Art (Honours) in European economics and German from Nottingham Trent University. He is both a qualified UK insolvency practitioner and chartered accountant.
