Phil Duffy is a managing director in the Restructuring practice, based in the Manchester office. He has more than 30 years of experience in the corporate recovery and recovery market.

He has significant experience advising clients in complex situations, including those with multijurisdictional issues. He has delivered a significant number of independent business reviews on behalf of a wide range of stakeholders in order to facilitate a turnaround and/or restructuring.

Phil's sector expertise includes retail, property and financial services. Phil was lead Administrator on BHS, Oddbins, MFI and Borders, as well as lead advisor on  several undisclosed multisite retailers resulting in the saving of many thousands of jobs as well as protecting stakeholders’ interests. Phil is currently advisor to the Court Appointed Administrators of a number of high profile Ponzi schemes ensuring stakeholder creditors achieve the best returns.

Additional notable multijurisdictional appointments include performing an operational restructure of the Mauritius Commercial Bank and serving as a member of the senior management team running the global administration of Federal Mogul.

Phil has also co-chaired the R3 Turnaround Workshops (IFT) in the North of England.
