At Kroll, Walmir is focused on guiding clients through defensible data privacy and security programs, improving incident response capabilities, and helping organizations achieve and remain compliant with a growing number of cyber security regulatory demands.
Before joining Kroll, he led security programs at IBM, Accenture, Deloitte and EY. At Accenture, Walmir enjoyed a strategic role which involved the consolidation of Accenture Security’s Brazil and Latin America operations. He led diverse teams from Chile, Colombia, Argentina and Brazil to successfully execute a regional business plan selling services such as cyber defense, strategy and risk, application security, digital identity and managed security services (MSS).
Walmir holds an MBA in advanced financial management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) and a BBA degree from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie. He is also an active speaker in the cyber security community.
He holds the following certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), Certified in Information Systems and Risk Controls (CRISC) and Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP). Walmir is additionally a former member of (ISC)²’s Global Advisory Board for the Americas and Latin America.
