Prior to joining Kroll, Xavier was part of the competition and litigation team of an economics consultancy based in London. He has assisted both firms and public institutions on issues regarding the economic assessment and quantification of damages arising from antitrust infringements.
Xavier regularly advises and works with clients and lawyers when preparing the economic evidence to be submitted as part of merger filings and other competition investigations conducted by antitrust authorities and sectoral regulators.
Additionally, he has been the lead expert on numerous claims and has provided expert testimony in front of national and arbitration courts in Spain. Xavier has been recognized by Who’s Who Legal as a competition economist and economic expert due to his involvement in public and private enforcement cases.
Xavier regularly presents and discusses in conferences and teaches applied economics at the Toulouse School of Economics.
Xavier received a B.A. in economics and business from Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona and an M.Sc. in econometrics and mathematical economics from the Toulouse School of Economics. He also holds a Ph.D. in economics from the European University Institute in Florence.
Xavier is fluent in Spanish, English, Catalan, Italian and French.
