Zach leverages more than 14 years of experience in valuation and 20 years of experience in the financial advisory services industry, specializing in advising a wide range of alternative asset investors (such as hedge funds, private equity funds, business development companies (BDCs) and corporations) on valuing illiquid securities, including subordinated debt and mezzanine debt, preferred and common equity, warrants and other equity securities in various industries.
Prior to joining the Kroll, Zach served as a portfolio manager within the private bank of Bank of America, which later became U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management.
Zach also has extensive knowledge in performing valuations of businesses and assets for financial reporting, tax and mergers and acquisitions purposes. He has performed valuations for purchase price allocation (ASC Topic 805), impairment testing (ASC Topic 350), stock-based compensation (ASC Topic 718), fresh start accounting (ASC Topic 852) and domestic and international tax planning purposes. Zach assists clients with annual audit reviews and has also supported clients in successfully navigating regulatory reviews.
Zach received an MBA from the Goizueta Business School of Emory University and a BBA in finance from the University of Georgia. He is also a chartered financial analyst (CFA) charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and the Atlanta Society of Financial Analysts.
