Grupo JD, based in Sao Paulo, Brazil has executed a share purchase agreement for the sale of the grape producer Labrunier and its trading company Bravis (including subsidiaries in Brazil and the Netherlands) to the El Ciruelo Group, based in Murcia, Spain.

About Labrunier and Bravis
The companies are leaders in the production and commercialization of table grapes in Brazil, and also lead the Brazilian exports of table grapes to other countries. It employees more than 3,000 workers and own about 2,400 hectares, with approximate 1,000 of them in production. The agricultural plots of the companies are located in the San Francisco River Valley in Brazil, with unique climatic conditions. These conditions are coupled with the closest location for the export to Europe in the southern hemisphere (beating the delivery times of other southern locations such as Peru or Chile in more than 2 weeks and beating South Africa in about a week time), for a better guarantee of supply and quality for the customers of the resulting group.

El Ciruelo Grupo, a leading and traditional Spanish player in the fruit industry has two horticultural plants that exceed 10,000 m2 of covered area each, where the appropriate treatment is granted to the production of more than 2,000 hectares of own production dedicated to the cultivation of different varieties of table grapes with and without seed, peaches, nectarines, paraguayos, plums and apricots.
