Calamos Asset Management, Inc. (NASDAQ: CLMS) ("CAM") has been acquired by an entity (the "Acquirer") indirectly owned by John Calamos and John Koudounis in a take private transaction. The transaction closed on February 21, 2017. Duff & Phelps served as financial advisor to the special committee of the board of directors of CAM, assisted in the negotiations of the transaction and provided a fairness opinion in connection with the transaction. Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell LLP served as legal counsel to the special committee.
