On May 3, 2021, Enjet Aero, an aero-engine component manufacturer, acquired Birken Manufacturing Company (“Birken” or the “Company”), a leading manufacturer of highly engineered engine assemblies and components used in the aerospace and defense industry.
Duff & Phelps, A Kroll Business, served as the exclusive sell-side advisor to Birken in connection with the transaction.
“We reached the conclusion that our future growth, long-term financial strength, and product expansion to meet our customers’ needs required us to be part of a larger strategic organization. Enjet fits the bill perfectly given their significant experience in the aerospace industry—specifically within the engine component segment. Duff & Phelps was instrumental in advising the Greenberg family throughout the transaction process to this successful outcome,” said Gary Greenberg, the third generation owner of Birken Manufacturing.
